problem in periodic
I am used rotational periodic option
everything seems ok but after doing "mesh check" , a massage appear like
"shell 101273 has node 1177 which has no twin" and then a subset of 300 error is created "image 1"
I think the error in the surface of perioidc due to it contains two surface inside each surface of periodic image 2
Or may be the error that the presnt of curves in small surface in periodic "image3"
Anyway I don't know :confused: :confused:
I used 3D unstructured mesh "octree"
Any suggestion pls?

The Periodic check is between parts... So it doesn't necessarily mean that the node has no twin, but rather that the node has no twin in the other part you selected. This can happen quite easily in an otherwise periodic mesh if the curves are in other part names.
For instance, the twin for the node in part PER1 may be in the CURVES part on the other side...

o.k, i created parts before>> PER1 contains (2 surfaces) and PER2 contains the two surfaces (same surfaces in PER1)

when i send the mesh to fluent no error occur until i do a "check" , fluent warning me from the periodic faces(that in ICEM check)
Even if Per1 and Per2 only contain surfaces, the nodes on the edge of those surface could be assigned to the curves, points or surface parts. The safest bet is to make sure that the curves along the edge are in the parts you are checking...
But before you do that, create a subset using the node number or location that the error gave you... Then do a visual sanity check to see where that node is... If it is not on a curve, then perhaps you have some other issue.
Now , i'm select the right periodic faces (during "check mesh") and different massage from "check mesh window" appear:
(292 problems were found for Multiple edges)and then create a subset (image) it the same node BUT the massge different (NOT told me" shell has node which has no twin :):))

I read in other "Forums" it is not important to have "Multiple edges"
Right, so you are not getting the periodic problems message anymore.
This new issue (multiple edges) is something else. You just need to take a look and make sure those multiple edges are where they should be (at expected T connections...)
