Dear all,

I tried to mesh a bifurcation with a hexa mesh using ICEM, but the results look strange and I don't know how to fix this problem. I moved the vertices of the blocks (normal and O-grid) a lot in the bifuraction area (see pic:Bif), but the results looked strange for everything I tried (see pic:Bif2). This method worked fine for another kind of bifurcation, but I didn't succeed in meshing this one. Is there another (more proper) way to place the blocks and mesh a bifurcation?
It would be really nice, if somebody could help me!
Thanks a million in advance!
Lilly

I think the split is too sharp to be using this type of blocking. Try splitting the blocks as in this picture.

Use Blocking>Merge Vertices>Collapse Blocks.

Hope this helps,
Timothy
