Hello

I want to generate a mesh around the rotor+tower of a windturbine
so I need a rotating mesh inside a stationary one

can anyone help me with it? is it good to use ICEM or I should use Ansys Meshing?

Id appreciate any kind of information
thanks

Are you using Ansys Turbo Components ? Meshing for Turbo machinery is made easy with TurboGrid. If you don't have the licences for TurboGrid, you might wanna ask again in the Subforum Ansys Meshing & Geometry for advice on how to mesh according to your research interest. Then you might wanna explain a little more, sketch your geometry and state the parameters of interest.
Greetings

hello
thanks for the reply
I thought TurboGrid is for compressors, jets, ... not for windturbines
am I wrong?
in case its possible to generate a mesh around windtubines with TurboGrid, can you give me tutorials if u have any?
thanks a lot

Hello James,

I haven't used turbo grid or bladegen for wind turbines, but I guess it should be no problem. Check this out. I don't have any tutorials for your demands, but I might give you some tips once you sketch your geometry and explain a bit more what your goals are.
Greetings
