I've been trying to simulate a homopolar generator but to no avail.
For the folks that don't know what that is, it's one of the first electric generators ever invented. As you can see it's ridiculously simple. However I have no clue how to use the existing tools in Maxwell 3d to get a rotating brush-commutator system going in order to analyze the data, I have used Maxwell 3d before for AC systems but this is completely new. Is it even possible? Any experts out there that know how? Any help would be appreciated! |
