Hi, everybody
I am trying to simulate the flow of two immiscible fluids by Polyflow using VOF mothed. Actually, I’m focus on co-injection molding(if you guys know), there are two free surfaces to capture.
But I cannot apply two fluids in one VOF problem(capturing the ONE free surface of the filling problem of one fluid is ok for me).
I’ve try setup two tasks (one task to one fluid), but the result show that two fluid flow independently. So I setup just one task with two sub-task, but I know how to do next.
Plz help, its very important for me, relating to my Master degree.

Near, (wzy_me@163.com)

4 days, I could not answer my question, maybe there is just no answer, cuz VOF in polyflow is not developed well.
fortunately, I've found another method to sim "Co-injection" in polyflow, namely remeshing~ lol

Hi mate, I think it's impossible to implement two or more fluids into the VOF model in POLYFLOW. If you really want to use VOF model to do your research you need to use FLUENT, Openform etc...since it seems that the VOF in POLYFLOW only accounts for a single fluid.

I have a question about POLYFLOW. Is it possible to simulate fluid separation process in POLYFLOW without VOF model? For instance, when the mold is separated from the fluid, some fluid will stick on the mold surface and then separates from the fluid domain designed initially. Is there any remeshing method working for this situation?

Any help is appreciated!

Hi~thx
some guy had confirmed with technician in ANSYS company that it IS impossible to implement two or more fluids into the VOF model in POLYFLOW, the subsequent version maybe ok.
Actually, I've finished my sim work in Fluent, and I knew Openfoam is ok too. I just wanna make use of the viscoelasticity constitutive model Polyflow provied.

For your question, I think there is no that remeshing method for the STICK thing.
