hi,
I am modeling the flow in pipe which is surrounded by soil. I am interested in finding the heat transfer between the fluid to soil. But I am not able to see any heat transfer between two medium.
I have created the conformal mesh.I have found out the 'wall-shadow' is formed at the interface boundary for heat transfer.
I am not sure where I went wrong as there is no heat transfer occurring from solid to fluid medium?

I think you didn't model it well.

For a good mesh that solid and fluid coupled, there should be a wall and a wall.shadow. If there is no wall.shadow that means fluid zone and solid zone are isolated. No heat will be able to to through the wall.

I got the wall and wall.shadow in boundary condition. Still I am unable to find any heat transfer from solid to liquid region.
