Using ICEM CFD to repair/edit ANSYS Meshing

Hello,

From what I've seen on these forums, ICEM CFD is a much more powerful meshing tool than ANSYS Meshing (we are on ANSYS 14.5). However, due to licensing reasons, obtaining ICEM CFD licenses for everybody is unrealistic. However, ICEM CFD has many post-processing options that ANSYS Meshing doesn't have.

My question is: is importing an ANSYS Mesh into ICEM CFD to run ICEM's Mesh Repair tools worth it, or does the ANSYS Mesher already do a good enough job? Is ICEM CFD only useful if you build the mesh from the ground up? Basically, if our group only uses ICEM CFD to repair the mesh generated by ANSYS Meshing, then we would save a lot of licenses.

Thanks for your help.

Nobody has any experience with ICEM CFD's repair tools at all?

Mesh editing tools are very strong in ICEM CFD.
