Hello friends!!
I am new to the field of CFD and am working on a project related to airfoils. For this I have to draw different-different airfoil geometries in Ansys and make comparision between these airfoils in order to get highest Coefficient of power out of them. While doing study regarding this, I got to know that I will have to import the coordinates in ANSYS and then those regular meshing and postprocessing. Is it true?? If then how??

Hi.

Here you got some airfoil data base:
http://m-selig.ae.illinois.edu/ads/c..._database.html

You can import coordinate files in Workbench Desugn Modeler by tool: 3D Curve.
It's in 'Concept' tab i think.

Thanx...I did this...but few coordinate files are not read by 3D crurve. Howevr, its points can be imported. I hv 2 join these points in order to get the complete profile. But I think sketching lines between the points wnt serve the purpose..vl it or der ny other option???

You can import your points using the 3D Curve option and then sweep it in its normal direction. The only thing you'll need to do before that is format your points according to what DM expects. You can find the correct file format in the DM documentation.

PS: Please don't use chatroom lingo to post here. It makes your text really hard to understand for those of us who don't have english as their first language.
