hi guys,
i have a question

when i import the geometry of a impeller and volute of a centrifugal pump to ansys geometry, it just contains surfaces. but i want to use the geomtery for fluid simulation, and it needs to be in solid form. how can i convert the surface model to solid in ansys design modeller.

thanks in advance.

Meysam.

Hi,

I would try Sew method. In the DesignModeler it is under menu Create -> Body Operation -> Sew.

Cheers

hi dear Meysam,
i am student in iran and my course projet has been defined as optimization of centrifugal pump's volute casing...
i need volute and impeller geometry for doing my project, i really appreciate you if you help me by sending your data (volute and impeller model and mesh data).
