Hydraulic damper modelling

1 Attachment(s)
I'm currently researching hydraulic dampers for the rail industry.

The program in question is Ansys. I'm not experienced with CFD but it is essential to this project.

I need to model a cylinder with a piston that moves inside of it at a certain velocity. The cylinder is to contain a set volume of silicone oil. I would like to see the pressure distribution and the flow conditions within the cylinder as the piston moves to compress the oil.

How would I go about doing this?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and for any and all responses.

I've added a simple diagram to help explain better.
