laltenburg is on a distinguished road
In order to perform a lateral analysis on the rotor of a centrifugal pump, you need to perform a "dry" critical speed analysis and a "wet" critical speed analysis.

When performing the "dry" analysis you only take the support at the bearings into account (bearings with infinite stiffness).

But when performing the "wet" analysis you have to take into account:
  • Bearings (with finite stiffness)
  • Internal clearances (such as the clearances at the wearrings)

I am using API standard.

My question: How do I implement the bearings and internal clearances into my model?
