I use a lot of contacts and joints in mechanical and I hate that all bodies are transparent while selecting the faces or viewing the contact. Does anyone know how to disable this?

Go to View>>Active View Visibility. Unselect the geometries you don't want to click on anymore. They will not be in your view until you navigate back to this menu and re-select them.
