Hello, i am learning in Ansys 12.0.1 Workbench with the help of an book for Ansys 9 and 10. (Müller, Groth: FEM 1 p. 465)

I have a cube and a cycle i and want to extrude this with : Cut Material

on clicking Generate I get an error: There are no bodies to cut.
After this i have 2 errors in both extrude operations, both saying "Error: Intersecting profiles are not allowed for 3D-features; Context: Extrude Feature Extrude1 (or Extrude2)

and 0 parts, 0 bodies in the tree outline on the left side.

Also the cube and the circle merged into one Sketch.

What step did i miss/what did i do wrong?

Thank you for your help.
Peter
