Meshing for Mutliphase free surface flow

Hello everybody,

I'm working with ANSYS CFX and I have to set up a mutliphase free surface flow simulation. I have great troubles with meshing my model. Multiphase flows need 1:1 connections for domain interfaces. Can someone tell me how I can enforce 1:1 elements on my connected areas and which tool I should use to get the best results? I have already tried to mesh my model with ICEM CFD Workbench etc. It is a rotational housing with a rotating shaft inside. The housing should be filled half with Oil and Air. The geometry of the model was created with ProEngineer. Every help is appreciated. Thx!

Greetz Matthias.

Try with ANSYS v12. I had the same problem. I did 1:1 mesh on the model (on ANSYS 11) but still getting the error. ANSYS v12 allows GGI mesh for multiphase flow.

Thanks for this Info I'm going to try that.
