ICEM 12 CFD help creating volume mesh from stl
 

Hello everyone,

I have a problem at ansys 12 icem cfd. I can’t create volume mesh, because at 60% when it says disconnecting orphans, the program goes at not responding as much as you can wait. So something is wrong. My stl is a human aorta with 1 inlet and 2 outlet.
My steps are, import mesh from stl , I delete some elements (at mesh menu ) in front of the inlet and I create new elements there and at the 2 outlets, so both inlet and outlet are closed. After that I go at global mesh parameters I put max elements 3 and I go at compute volume mesh. Also to mention there is only one part at stl the main one of the whole body with inlet and outlet at it.



Which is the step is missing, so I would be able to create volume mesh from stl file.
