(Question) What platform to choose
 

Hi everyone!

I'm starting a new investigation project related with the simulation and modelation of a shock tube. This is kind of a new area to me so I'm trying to understand what is the best tool for the job.
From my research i've found several references on Ansys products (fluent and Autodyn) and others such as ComSol.
Also I'd like to use the same platform to improve some previous work on detonation products expansion, by going from a 1D model to 2D or 3D.

I was hopping if I could get some more insite from your experience and expertise in order to choose the most appropriate platform. I would also appreciate if you could point out some advantages and disadvantages regarding your choises.
