Default modeling solid for impact test in ls-dyna

Hi there i want to do a impact test of a beam with a notch by droping a wedge on(surface opposite to the notch) it with a force on wedge can anybody help me that how to model them with SOLID ELEMENT in LS-DYNA.any tutorial in this regard
