JPAG is on a distinguished road
Dear All,

I'm an architecture student and my project has lead me into the fascination of CFD modelling.

I wish to do some basic sedimentation modelling of a tide, and be able to control the grain size of the sedimentation material, the height of the water and the speed of the water.
What I am after is essentially this:
https://www.flow3d.com/modeling-capabilities/sediment-scour/

If possible, I would like to "freeze" the sedimentation after one tide, then "reverse" the water (i.e. the tide) and see how for example a pillar foundation will react to the tide.

If I am not mistaken, this model seems embedded into the FLOW 3D-program. Unfortunately, a student license is not available outside Canada/ US.

Autodesk has the student licensing, and I am wondering if something similar to this is available in Autodesk CFD, and if it is possible to set up a simple tide simulator.
Alternatively, my school has acces to the Ansys-program, if this would be more suitable?

I'm completely new in this field, and might have jumped into the deep end of the pool. I have the basic understanding of boundary boxes, and materials, etc., but I feel a little lost how to go about this.

Thank you all in advance!
