If you are trying to simply open them, they will not open. You need to create a new design study. During the process of creating a new design study, you will be prompted to select the part or assembly. This should then load the part for you without hassle.

Launch CFdesign directly from SW with part or Assy opened in SW..

If you don't have access to SW you can save a parasolid file *.x_t

In the past i have opened files of pro-e ( .prt ) directly from hard disc using CF design, one point you need to take care is the units will be set by cf design software automatically, if you launch CF design from inside a cad tool it will check all units and also use same units

hi there
i also use SW and found that the easiest way to open files on CFDesign is to go for the simple approach.

1. save your file or assembly as a parasolid (X_t file)
2. open the X_T file using cfdesign

P.s. to open Parasolid files using CFDesign, you have to check the check-box for parasolid in the installation process (if you can't find where is the check box - write me back on this thread and i will further on this).
