Default STAR-CD to STAR-HPC

Recently the group that provide access us to commerical CFD codes changed from STAR-CD(V3.05) to STAR-HPC(V3.1a). I received trainning in STAR-CD for batch submittals; however, the software change came about a week after the trainning, so I am still new to STAR-CD in general. To further add to my situation, we do not have a users guide for STAR-HPC. Could someone please outline the major steps to setting up a model in STAR-HPC?

Dear Lafferty,

The best way to get information or user manual is to contact your local STAR-CD agency. The steps involved to run HPC depends on the computers you use, for example, shared memory computer such as SGI Origin or workstation clusters. Globally, it involves very few simple steps which is assisted by prohpc (a GUI tool): geometry decomposition (divide mesh into N cpus); specify the machines to run; and run the job. After running, you have to merge the post processing file (called file09 before v3100).

If you have any problem, please let me know.
