Hi,
is anybody experienced with the RNG k-e turbulence model in conjuction with Diesel engines ? Especially I am interested if someone has changed STAR-CD's default coefficients of the RNG model and the effect of that to the results. At least in KIVA the coefficient C4 (C3 in 'KIVA language') is not a constant but varying according to the velocity divergence. I have also noticed that the default constants in STAR-CD produce very low turbulent viscosity which, in some cases, deteriorate the results when compared to the standard k-e model. |
