As title, how can I get .cel .vrt .bnd files from the mesh that I generated in Star-CD version 3.100?

Many thanks.

within the menu of POST I could easily find GET USER DATA, n' got the .usr data.

However, the GET BOUNDARY DATA, GET CELL DATA, n' GET VERTEX VERTEX DATA...is not lighting on. It's fairly strange. So, I cannot get .vrt, .bnd and .cel files.

what can I do?

There is a lot of funktionality in Prostar which is not accessible via the GUI. So it is always good to learn some of the commands.

cread ... to read cell files

vread ... to read vertex files

bread ... to read boundary files

okay, now, I have got the .bnd file, .cel n' .vrt files.

However, to incoporate .cpl couple files into my program as well. I could not save .cpl file.

I have no problem with my couple (masters n' slaves 2 2 1). When I write couple file, StarCD will close all windows. the error instruction is:

"forrtl: severe(66): output statement overflows record, unit -5, file Internal Formatted Write."

Anyone could help me?

Many thanks.

Just a question? What are you doing at all? Why do you want to save all those files?

Maybe you should contact the support.

Joern: Thanks anyway.

it's the version problem of StarCD probablely.

I enhanced my Prostar version from 3100 to 3100B. Then, I got the .cpl file now. It's cool!

Actually, I am doing a program to solve Navier-Stokes equation, and then, export data (pressure/velocity) to Prostar readable data. Then, gear up better results!

Peter.
