rate constants

I would like to use Jone's 4 steps combustion model in Star_CD.The fuel is supposed as C3H8.I am warried about the reaction rate constant, for example,n A,b E...,Does anyone use this combustion steps in starcd? Can you show me what is the reaction rate constant when you are using? Best Regards

Re: rate constants

You will probably have to adjust your 4-step model so that STAR-CD can handle it - see their requirements for entering reactions under Local Source Reaction Schemes in chapter 12 in the User Guide. Note that this is not always possible. As to the rate constants - reduced models usually do NOT follow simple Arrhenius expressions as you require, and you will probably have to write your own reaction routine (reacfn.f).

Regards.
