HELP: Wall variable temp is not on the data file?

This is really strange:

Previously I did a computation fine and could load the wall temperature and heat transfer coefficients. But when I moved the case onto another site and did the computation. I transfered the result to the site I did the analysis. But this time I got "Error - Wall Variable HCOE is not on the data file". So did wall temperature!

What is the problem?

Thanks

More info:

All the run were performed in parallel. I ticked the "Heat and mass transfer at Walls" on the panel: STAR GUIde => Analysis Controls => Output Controls => Analysis Output => Post => Solution File. I did *not* tick the option on the same panel but in "Printed Data" box.

On the system where new computation was done, the requested iterations were actually not complete due to the time limitation for a running job. (A queueing system manages all the jobs submitted and set a maximal running time for every job.) But I still merged .pst files in sub-directories into a single one after the job was terminated by the queueing system, and transfered the merged .pst file to the system where I do the analysis.

Is this the reason? Is it only that post data are dumped when the computation is finsished completely?

Should I also ticked the "Heat and Mass Transfer at Walls" at the same panel but "Printed Data" box instead of "Solution File"?

Thanks a lot if anyone can explain this.

Wall variables are only written out when a calculation is stopped nicely, when it converges, when it hits max iters or when you issue a touch ABORT. Wall data is not written to the post file at every dump iteration.

Restart your calculation for 0 iterations and the required info will be there.

Thanks for your reply. I'll do that.

But, one more suspense: If I also ticked the option (i.e. STAR GUIde => Analysis Controls => Output Controls => Analysis Output => Post => Printed Data => Heat and Mass Transfer at Walls) before running, would that help? And which file would those data be stored in?

Thanks.

Your are right, my friend. I let all the iterations finished completely and the data are present now. Thanks. Jiaying
