CL Front and CL Rear
hello, everyone... Anybody know how to define the CLF(lift front) and CLR (rear) by using StarCd... Normally, starcd gave the overall body fo the lift coeeficient.
I really appreciate if anybody can reply me problem.. thank u.. best regard therry henry... |
Re: CL Front and CL Rear
I think the command ACOEF works only with a current selected set of wall shells... so if you only selected the 'front' of your model then you'll get the force coefficient for just that part. Repeat for the wall shells of the 'rear'.

Re: CL Front and CL Rear
Divide at center of gravity? To determine which halve is 'front' and which 'rear'? No idea for cars. With aerofoils it's easy since your have the chord line.
Perhaps where you want to get the CL depends on your area of interest. Say if you want to optimise the slope of the rear windscreen to reduce drag, you might do just as good to just plot out the CL only for that portion. |
