Turbulence model for vortex shedding

Hi, Can any one tell me which turbulence model, supported by STAR, is most suitable to capture vortex shedding. For flow past a circular cylinder, I could capture vortex shedding with laminar flow, but with k-epsilon High Re model could not capture. Thanks in advance Prasad

Hai PLN Prasad,

Yours is a very genuine doubt. In fact Vortex Shedding was my subject for my Phd thesis, I will be able to help you in this regard. Could you please describe your problem in detail, so that I can get back to you. Also mention whether heat transfer is also involved in that. Don't forget to mention the Mach number of the flow.

Thanks

C.Bose

Hello! I am also interested in this subject. If you don't mind could you please include me or my email address in your coming email discussions or discuss in public here?
