I am refining some quad(shell) cells. The problem is some cells getting refined in i directing and some in j direction in a single command when executed for only one (say i) direction. I am using cref command. How this is happenig? Anybody has faced this problem before? Kindly guide. Thanks.

Quad shells are defined by 4 nodes, 1, 2, 3 and 4 counted in counterclokwise order. Direction 1 -> 2 corresponds to direction i, direction 1 -> 4 corresponds to direction j. So depending on the shell definition, i.e . the direction i of one shell will be the direction j of other shells.

Hello,

You need to reorder your I,J,K directions as I remember with the command CDIRECTION before using CREF.

There is a useful command that allows you to visualize the direction but I don't remember the name. Ask to your support office.

Hello! DId u resolve your problem? I had a headache on this matter myself. I think there should be a more flexible way to handle refining of cells in any direction a user wishes to.
