Creating multi-block mesh

Hi,

I need detailed information about the right strategy of creating multi-block meshes. For example, can one block be created inside the other? if a block can (or should) be deleted after generating a mesh? is it oligatory to create splines if case geometry is simple? is there any way to connect blocks and if this should be done?

In short any information on this issue will be appreciated.

Regards,

Julie

Definitely not. This would create an overlapping mesh which is currently not allowed.

> if a block can (or should) be deleted after generating a mesh?

Yes it can, but there is no need. Blocks are like construction lines - Prostar knows about them, but the geometry passed to Starsolver contains no information about blocks.

No. Where there is no spline along the edge of a block, a straight line will be used.

Absolutely. Until blocks (or more accurately, the cells created by blocks) are connected together by VMERG or couples, the two meshes are not connected and no flow can take place from one to another.
