Fuel Modelling in Diesel Engines, what's truth

Hi everybody,

It is known that the boiling model in Star-CD is defective (see a post on combustion below by another user). I have experienced this bug.

This model allows to account for the super-critical behaviour of the spray in the chamber. It is known that most of the spray is super-critical under Diesel like conditions.

The question is simple for Star-CD users who do Diesel ICE simulation: what is the correct modelling of the Diesel fuel properties? Which correction to the saturation pressure law, heat of vaporization law and so on can handle the convergence of the droplet towards a super-critical fluid blob?

What is your opinion ?

Thanks
