*** ERROR #320 *** INCORRECT WALL HEAT BOUNDARY SPEC AT PHYSICAL BOUNDARY

Anybody has encountered this error before and/or knows what it means exactly?

By doing "Check everything" in the Star GUI, I don't get any warning or errors. Only when I start the calculation I get the message reported above. Any help is welcome!

Thanks, Marco

It means something like you have a solid-fluid interface whose walls do not have the conduction condition for heat. Basically, check the thermal boundary conditions on all your solid-fluid interfaces.

thanks for the reply.

All fluid-solid interfaces have the conduction heat condition on: what else should I check?

Maybe check that your solid-fluid interfaces really are solid-fluid interfaces: perhaps there are cracks there so that the solid is not attached to the fluid. Also check the exterior walls are not specified as conducting.

You can see the offending boundary by turning on the "echo boundary and body information" switch in prostar and then look at the info file for the problem cell/boundary.

have you turn on the conjugate heat transfer button?
