Hello,

There are the following directions at the site http://www.adapco-online.com/adapco_...ices/tips.html in "Extracting flow quantities from the .info file": "... save it [the file containing script] somewhere in your path...". How can I do this?

Thanks in advance,

Julie

I assume that you are using an editor to create some script? When you exit the editor I'm sure you can control what directory the file is placed in. The directory you pick must be one of the directories in your path. If you are on unix/linux, then if you type "set" at a prompt, one of the variables that it lists will be named "path" with a list of directories. Most people have "." in their path which means the current directory. When you type a command, the computer looks through all the executables in your path to see if it can find what you are trying to do. If a script or program is not in your path, it won't get found in order to be run.
