Default Inlet & Outlet Boundaries causing low surface temp

hi there,

i have a very simple model with some inlets and 1 outlet, the model is set to steady, high k/e, incompressible etc.

when i run a simulation it reaches steady state but upon inspecting the results there are very low temperature regions around the inlets and outlets,

in the boundary condition the supply temperature of the inlets are set to 291k, the outlet is split = 1 etc,

but the surface temperature plot shows a local min of about 130k ????

any ideas or help whats going wrong,

the model is built from geometry package then iges, prosurf and pro-am utilising trimmed mesh type.

Perhaps a residual erroneous initialization value? What is your initialization temperature? If you entered it in Celsius instead of Kelvin, you might see this sort of behaviour.

thanks brian,

it must have been that,

i double checked my initialisation temperature it was set to 293k, after re-running the problem the low temperature problem has been resolved

i guess my previous simulation must have had a low temperature initialisation, maybe i did setup the temp as 20k thinking it was 20degC etc
