Hi all,

How effective is the cavitation model in starcd? I have simulated centrifugal pump and it is not giving good results in cavitation region. In fact performance is not dropping because of cavitation.

Anybody has any experience?

thanks

I used barometric model in 3.15. It is taking too much time also. This is expected I think, I read in literature also.

Thanks for reply.

Don't use the barotropic model and switch to v324.

I do not have prier cavitation modelling experience. so I used default model. Curruntly I can not switch to v324 immediately. For time being what is the solution? will BTF model (another one in starcd) work. I think it is very unstable.

Thanks for reply.

Sorry that I can't be more specific, but it took me several month of computing time to find out what I have to do. So I can't give away all this for free.
