Default shear rate on a section

Hi,

I would like to know local shear rates on a section.

I create my section with : spoint/snormal pscreate

then, I use pmap for su.

I have su in register 4

then, I use Caverage all and oper, gradient, no

I obtain a result.

However, if I push Update List in Post Register Date, everything is set to 0 and I don't how to have once again these results.

I have two questions : 1 - Is it really possible to obtain a gradient after a pmap command? 2 - If not, how can I obtain values of shear rates on a section without using cset newset grange?

At the final state, I would like to obtain gradients in register 1 2 3 and x, y and z in register 4 5 and 6.

Thanks for your help.

Stephane

I think I have just found the answer :

First, we have to create the section and the shells on it with spoint, snormal and pscreate.

Then, we load cell values of u scalar in the 4th register for the whole geometry. Then we use caverage all to obtain vertex values and oper gradient no to obtain dudx, dudy and dudz in register 1 2 and 3

Then, we use pmap (with Table number for shells)

By using cset newset type (table number for shells), vset newset cset and oper getc x 1 4, oper getc y...

We obtain dudx, dudy and dudz in register 1 2 and 3 and x y and z in register 4 5 and 6
