hi I have designed a mini blood pump in UG-17 ,i want to do the flow analysis in star cd,can anybody tell me about the import capabilities of star CD (frm UG )and how to give the rotating conditions for the rotor of the pump.ii am also intrested in information about other softwares which can be used for my purpose thank you

Firstly

U need to mesh impeller and housing separately, but connected to eact other. Import is very minor issue. Get igs in pro*am and mesh it.

Almost all CFD softwares can be used for your purpose. So use which one is easily available to you.

For modelling read the rotating frame tutorial.
