Pick out cell faces
Dear All:
I am new using Star CD 3.22. How can i pick out cell faces for defining for example specifying a boundary condition at inlet; when i write BCRO command to add, the cursor appears on screen but no surface plot appears on it until i replot. Can i do it with the mouse ? Thanks in advance for your help Jorge |
Re: Pick out cell faces
make a plot of the surface you wish to add boundaries to first, then use bcross (or bzone) to add boundaries to faces with the cursor.

Re: Pick out cell faces
Steve i did the plot, then i define the boundary using this commands on the window I/O: rdef 1 inlet $ $ rname inlet1 bcro add 1 after that when back to the screen, only the cursor appears on it but not the plot of the surface, so i don't know how to pick the cell faces

Re: Pick out cell faces
try this: cset all$pltype ehid$cplot$rdef 1 inlet $ $ bcros add 1
after the crosshairs appears, pick a few faces. Then after you are done type bset all$bdisp on$replot and you should see some faces with boundaries Steve |
Re: Pick out cell faces
Does one window (say the I/O window) pop up & cover the plot window? Then when the plot window is reactivated it is blank. Is so, you need to turn on backing store. It is a graphics setting at the OS level.
