Star-CD users!

I have recently solved a problem of complex duct with multiple outlets in Fluent/CFX/Star-CD under identical flow conditions and obtained the convergence of numerical solution in all the solvers. I am very much impressed about flow pattern captured at mid-section of the duct in star-CD over other solvers. In other solvers, I could able to obtain mass flow rates at different outlets by mouse click. I am unable to find the same in star-CD. Can any one suggest a way as how to obtain mass flow rate at different outlets through single command. Towards this I am spending quite lot of time in Star-CD.

I know one way: in PROSTAR, Analysis Control=>Output Controls=>Monitor Numeric Behavior Click Print Iteration Residuals and Conservation Checks, then re-write problem file and run RESTART for one iteration, you can have all the information in .info file.

go to analysis controls -> Output controls -> monitor engineering behaviour -> monitor boundary behaviour ....

The hint povided by you works fine and with this required information is available in inf file after its run.

with "monitoring boundary behaviour" an *.erd will be created with the selected boundary information (e.g. massflow)

With "monitoring cell behaviour" you can get the selected information in any wanted (and previously defined/stored) cell set in the *.ecd file.

In main menu "Post" use the "flux summ" command (read help)

Load *.pst file, get "Mass Flux" from vector data, generate a cell set and type in the command "summ".
