Default How solver works?

How solver works?i.e. after solver starts how it calculates values of pressure and velocity?does it initially take all values zero?This is as i have observed when solver is running?

Hello

To solve a problem with CFD, you have to set some parameters to resolve the conservation equations: boundary conditions (wall, inlet, pressure outlet, stagnation...) and initial values (velocity, pressure and temperature). By default in StarCD, these initial values are set to 0 for velocity and relative pressure, and 293 K for temperature. (For example, it is advised to put non null velocity for an external aerodynamic study for the initial values: it will decrease the time for the solution to converge.) To change these initial values, go to the "initialization" panel in "Thermophysical models and properties" => "Liquid and Gases" in the NAVcenter.
