compressibility in StarCD

Hi, My application is hydraulic cylinder. Does anyone know how to go about simulating compressibility for incompressible fluids like water or oil for the application ?? Thanks in advance. Any comments posted will be appreciated.

Re: compressibility in StarCD

Use the densit.f subroutine with a relation between the speed of sound (SCHALL) and the compressibility:

SCHALL=1000.0

DENDP = 1 / SCHALL**2
DEN = DENREF + (PR / SCHALL**2)

Thanks William... What about fluid bulk modulus,doesn't this come into picture at all ?? Can you please clarify why the relation with speed of sound ?? Appreciate your help.
