Source term for user defined scalars -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Guest Posts: n/a	Referring to source subroutines, I have some doubt about how to define source terms for user defined scalar transport equations, for instance SCALAR(x) with XY/Z as generic units. The SCALAR(x) is defined as PASSIVE. Using SORSCA.f, the source term must be expressed in kg/m3sec. In case S2P is not zero, is SCALAR(x) considered with its proper units (XY/Z) or in "mass fraction" units? More, what about units of SCALAR(x) when used in POSDAT.f? Many thanks for any clarification.
