user subroutine compilation in v3.22

Hi,

How can I create an a star 'executable' for a given case after compiling and linking user-subroutines in v3.22? This was done in v3.15 using starlink -e option, but I don't know the equivalent in v3.22.

You don't need to create a star executable, just run star. If there are user subroutines it will compile them automatically at the start of the run.

Hi,

Creating a star executable is preffrered in this specific analysis process chain. Is there a way I can use 'star' to create an executable ?

why do you need to create an executable when you can just run the command star?

Re: user subroutine compilation in v3.22

Hi,

Star is being called as a flow solver from a program and it monitors for compilation errors due to user-subroutines. Then the executable created is called at a later stage.

If you really need to compile the subroutines separately from running the solver, you can do 'star -ufile' or 'star -dp -ufile'.
