regarding to mass flow rate

Hai,i done moving mesh, now iam doing post processing.in post processing i face a problem in calculating mass flow rate in intake port i executed macro given in Dr post.it is giving different values at different placesses in port.the variation is too much ,it varies 62 to 210 kg/hr. please help me how to calculate mass flow rate. thank you siva

Re: regarding to mass flow rate

I have used that macro several times and have only had the problem you describe when the mass flow has not converged. Sometimes all residuals will decrease except mass. How does your mass residual look?

Re: regarding to mass flow rate

thank you tom. Mass residual is increasing with crank angle, total mass traped is correct. can i know how much mass flow rate you got while executing the macro and where you are executed the macro ie at inlet boundary or middle of port or just above the valve portion. thank you siva
