Hi, I am not able to find out what exactly is STAR-CD application, what is possible to do with it. I know that there is STAR-works which integrate Solid Works and Comet. I am asking is possible to do all design by STAR-CD and after that do analyzes without need for another application for design so I will not need for CAD application?

What is your opinion about STAR-CD/Ansys CFD? In ansys, we have design modeler and it integrate itself with CAD application.

Thanks,

Merkur

I think what you are looking for is STAR-Design http://www.cd-adapco.com/products/ST...AR-Design.html which is an integrated CAD package although it is not on the level of a full CAD package (Solidworks, catia etc) it is easy to use and has all the CAD tools you are likely to need for generating reasonably complicated geometries. I have use the ANSYS design modeller and found it very tricky to use and fairly counter intuitive (and I use a lot of different CAD pacakages)
