Hai cfd experts

I would like to know casting simulation is possible in STAR-CD.If yes,how far it is accurate? Is there any other software available for this kind of application.

Thanks in Advance.

Chung.

Hai cfd experts, Can it be possible to found defects like shrinkage and mold erosions in STAR-CD.If possible, what are different parameters to be considered before going to start simulation. Can it be same for different molding and melting practices? How do you corelate the results with actual.

Regards,

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to inform you of a material database "Thermo-Prop" we have been using, with exceptionally good results, for process modeling here in our corporation. Appreciating modeling accuracy, I hope you will also find the database of value and interest. The database is available at http://www.newfreeware.com

The database is developed by some research scientists in Europe. The database composes of thermophysical and physicochemical properties needed in process modeling. Wide ranging data are available for aluminum-, copper- and ferrous-base alloys, which also include more detailed information concerning fraction solid transformed, enthalpy release, density and thermal conductivity change in the mushy zone that intrinsically occur during solidification.

Yours sincerely, Stephen Evans Botnia Technologies Corporation 160 Thorn Hill Road Warrendale, Pennsylvania 15086 USA
