Hello

I am working these days with STAR CD esSOFC.

But when I try, it makes errors that i can't find the cause. for example,

when running with user model supplied,(tutorial 2)

** ERROR #076 *** NEGATIVE DENSITIES FOUND AT MORE THAN 100 CELLS. RUN STOPPED

I changed inlet parameter such as molar fraction. also molar flow rate.

I changed just above, but it shows error with negative density.

===================

Anybody who works with es-sofc can help me? It will be plesure to have replys from you.

Thank you

and als

Hi Josh,

It may be that you are not reading the input file "sofc.perf.param" in the user_input subdirectory. The .info file echoes the parameters read in from the input file. Are you running in parallel or serial? Also, did you initialize the fuel and air fluid streams after setting the inlet flow conditions/

Hello

First of all, thanks for your reply.

I am beginner user of Star cd, so, there will be somethings that can't explain to you perfectly.

After I read your reply, I checked the *.info file.

the case which showed the message about 'Negavitive density', *.info file had very small k-bytes. but like tutorials they had big size of *.info file.

In which step do we configure the *.info file?

your second question. I run star cd with only single computer.

To reply your Third question, Yes i initialized the fule and air stream after setting the inlet flow conditions.

Here, my another question is. When I set the inlet boundary, es-sofc can't calculate its area. so I put the area by myself at the next step. It should be calculated automatically, it is weird.

So. I hope my curiosity will be solved.

Thanks for your kindness.

Regards.

Josh
