pro-SURF lets you read IGES files. From there you can send the surface to either STAR-CCM+ or pro-STAR for volume meshing.

Thanks TG. How do I send it to pro-STAR? Is there some other kind of export function?

Hi Nikos, use Pro-Surf. Import the iges file, then you triangolate it and you save it as a *.dbs file. You open Pro-Amm and import the database (*.dbs) file, then you can create the mesh. By

Hi Nikos. To add to the last comment, once you have a database (.dbs) file saved from pro-surf, simply start a new session of pro-STAR using a casename the same as the filename used for the database file and then issue a "DBASE LIST" command to list the contents of the file. The "DBASE GET {ID}" command can then be used to get the cells and vertices etc in the file so that they can be plotted on the screen. Do a help on the "DBASE" command to see the other options it contains.
