Boundary region for open boundaries

Default Boundary region for open boundaries

Hello to everybody

I have a question about the boundary regions. When we face an external flow problem (e.g. around a solid body), it is logical to me to express the top and bottom boundaries as open boundaries (except the inflow and outflow boundaries). Do someone know which is the appropriate boundary region for this case? The only thing I can imagine is the symmetry boundary region. Is this correct?

I suppose, specifcation of free stream values will also work.

Hello nkp,

Thank you for your response. Do free stream values are appropriate for low Mach number? Because I think that free stream corresponds to supersonic flow. Am I correct?
