Hi, Everybody............
Does some one know, that which model LES is using to calculate SGS scalar variance i.e Mixture fraction variance. Regards Shafiq |

with LES the weller model is really good. it is flame area model tracking mixture fraction.

I meant which one is being used by STAR-CD?, because I could not find any detail in STAR-CD Documentation ?? |

what do you mean being "used by star-cd"?...you use the model you select in the setup...

For subgrid scalar variance( i.e mixture fraction variance for PPDF), there are 3 models which are being used mostly in literature, scalar similarity model, or dynamic model ( these are similar to smagorinskey models for momentum equation) and a transport equation with modelling the scalar dissipation rate. I did not find any where , where we can mention these models and its coefficients.
