Hi,

I am trying to run a few simulations back to back in Star CCM+ using the macro function but i am unable to save the simulation using the macro (even though the save function works fine on its own just not with another script!). Has anyone got any ideas on making it work or using the 'batch' function to achieve continuous simulations?

Thanks jon

starccm+ -batch MyMacro.java MySim.sim

making sure that your last action in the marco is to save the sim file. You can then use any scripting language to run multiple calculations and save the results.

I've got a batch where I rename the saved file after each run. It always saves as the same filename e.i. "finish.sim". Maybe you need to rename too.
