I am using the STAR CD for cfd simulation. I am simulating the cryocooler ( Which is one of the type of refrigeration system). For this i have modeled the compressor( pistion movement like in combution problem )

For moving mesh I used the SUBROUTINE NEWXYZ for vertex movement. and macevent file.

For simulating the compressor i am USING TRANSIANT analysis.

RPM given- 3000

and iam using advance Transiant, in that i have Time Step in terms of crank angle

I had run the system for TIME STEP: 360 (one cycle(360 dgree) i.e. 1 compression strok and 1 expansion strok)

3600 (for 100 cycle)

72000 (for 200 cycle)and i got the solution

FOR EACH time increment of 1

BUT when i gave the TIME STEP=360000 (1000 cycle), it ran up to time step: 99999

My MAIN problem is how to give run for TIME STEP 360000.

99999 is the max timestep, you are just going to have to run it in 4 parts using restarts

Thank you sir for giving reply

But in transiant analysis we can't give for analysis restart option according to me it is aplicable to only steady state.(as per given user gide )

If i am wrong can you tell me how to give it.

Thanking you.
